How To is a bizarre instruction manual for the human body, social manners and rituals. The aim is to provide a perverse guide to ideology, and reflect the absurdity of what we consider “normality” -  which has been inscribed by ourselves unconsciously through everyday practice. The form of an IKEA instruction manual, chosen for its clear and universal language, is a conscious reversal from traditionally implicit ideological discourse and rhetoric. It also serves as a challenge to the exclusive language used by the worlds of academia and art which always rely on context and interpretation.
